Work-Study Program

Federal & State

If you have completed a FAFSA application you may be awarded Work Study.  The purpose of the Work-Study Program is to give part-time employment to undergraduate and graduate students who need the income to help meet the costs of post-secondary education.

Work-Study is classified as a need based type of aid, however having financial need does not guarantee you will receive work-study. If eligible you will be awarded based on availability of funding on a first-come, first-serve basis.  You must be enrolled in at least six semester credit hours and be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress.

If awarded work-study, you must accept the award on the Self-Service banner and seek employment.  You will be paid on a monthly basis for hours worked. You cannot work  more than 19.5 hours per week. Salaries are reviewed on a yearly basis.
