Navigating the world of Financial Aid can be a difficult process. The mission of the Financial Aid Office at Lamar University is to assist students in obtaining financial resources which will enable them to pursue their educational goals and maintain compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations. We have an experienced staff committed to helping guide students through the process.
Director of Student Financial Aid
- 2012-2013 FAFSA - June 30,2013 (Online applications must be submitted by midnight Central Time.)
- 2013-2014 FAFSA - June 30,2014 (Online applications must be submitted by midnight Central Time.)
Spring 2013 - March 31st (FOR FAFSA, Federal Aid and Loans)
March 15th (FOR STATE OF TEXAS AID)
Online Academic Partnership - 3 weeks before the start date of the course. Any student whose paperwork is not completed 3 weeks before the start date of their course may need to make arrangements other than financial aid to pay for the course of risk being dropped.

How to Apply
Students wishing to apply for Financial Aid must submit an application for admissions in a degree seeking program at Lamar University at www.applytexas.org and a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. Students are expected to monitor their Self Service Banner Account (Financial Aid Tab) for information related to status, outstanding requirements, and award notifications. Learn more...
